Ed is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years experience. Ed has worked across a broad range of industries in both the public and private sectors. He has enjoyed Management Accountant roles in the BBC World Service and BBC News, these roles provided him with the opportunity to work on development projects in a number of countries including Pakistan, Russia and the Ukraine.
Since moving to Australia in 1999 from the UK, he has held CFO roles for a number of organisations including the Adelaide Festival of Arts, Grape and Wine Research & Development Corporation, and the National Native Title Tribunal. He has broadened his skillset more recently to incorporate specialism in risk management and governance, gaining a Masters in Risk Management in 2010. His current role is Head of Corporate Services and Governance for HAMBS, a niche IT provider to the private health industry.
In Ed’s words, “I am a travelling tragic, having visited over 100 countries, highlights include travelling the trans-Siberian railway in both directions, Antarctica, North Korea and making three trips to Nepal. I took up running a few years ago and have now run 5 marathons”.
